Dutch giants and QPR in tug-o-war for Chelsea youngster

According to a report on the Express website, Dutch footballing giants Feyenoord are in a battle with Championship side QPR in order to nab Belgian youngster Charly Musonda from Premier League side Chelsea.

According to the Express, Musonda is disillusioned at “failing to break into the Blues’ first team” and is looking for regular football elsewhere. The Mirror claim that new QPR manager, and ex-Chelsea orward, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink is on hand to raid his former employees to gain the services of Chelsea’s Belgian “whizzkid” after watching the “19-year oll starlet” in Chelsea’s U-21 victory over Middlesbrough on Monday. The Mirror think that Hassellbaink will enquire as to whether Chelsea will allow the youngster out on loan to further his footballing development and to gain some first team football experience.

However, Spanish newpaper and media site Mundo Deportivo claim that Hasselbaink’s QPR side are facing a struggle against Dutch giants Feyenoord as they also are interested in the Belgian youngster. In a brief report, Mundo Deportivo said that Feyonoord want Musonda (“quiere al jugador belga del Chelsea Charly Musonda”) and that he [Musonda] was watched by both QPR and AZ Alkmaar in an U-21 game against Middlesbrough (“fue seguido por el AZ Alkmaar y el QPR en el partido sub-21 que el Chelsea jugó ante el Mmiddlesbrough”)
