In one of the three Sky Bet Championship games played on Sunday, only one goal could separate Reading and Blackburn Rovers.
Despite fans only seeing the one goal, it was certainly a strike to remember for both supporters and Danny Williams.
It was the 26-year-old’s fourth goal of the current campaign and it must be a strong contender for Reading’s Goal of the Season award.

What a hit! Williams runs onto the bouncing ball and his fine strike leaves Steele with no chance of saving it in the Blackburn goal.
It secured Reading the three points and moved them into 11th place in the Championship table, and it also gave Brian McDermott his first win in his second spell as Reading manager.
Williams spoke after the game, stating that ‘there were two options’ before the goal…
“There were two options – keeping the ball and hold it up, or smash it in. I only had one thought in my head…”https://t.co/jKVL7vdJOa

Another person who was happy with the strike was McDermott, who also praised the effort in his post-match interview…
