Derby County midfielder unhappy with result

Derby County midfielder George Thorne says he and his team-mates are not pleased with the draw away at Blackburn Rovers on Wednesday night, according to the Derby Telegraph .

In spite of the Rams being unbeaten in the Championship for seven games, a disappointed George Thorne said the game at Ewood Park was one which the team had hoped to win. Thorne admitted that the point gained against Blackburn Rovers could prove to be a useful one at the end of a long season.

Fans’ favourite Thorne joined the Rams from West Bromwich Albion in the summer of 2014 after impressing on loan at the end of the previous season (2013/14). His Derby career has been interrupted by injury and many fans are convinced had it not been for his lengthy absence last season, Derby would’ve been promoted to the Premier League. Thorne is currently enjoying a run in the team having recovered from injury.

The Rams now sit just outside the play-off places in 7th, level on points with MIddlesbrough, and 1 point behind a trio of teams, Reading, Hull and Burnley. Brighton currently top the table on 28 points, four points ahead of second placed Birmingham City, with Gary Rowett’s team two points ahead of third placed team Reading.
