Preston and Cardiff battled it out at Deepdale yesterday, with the Lilywhites hoping to claim only their second win of the season.
After 90 minutes of chances for both sides, the game ended 0-0, with both sides taking a point. It took PNE up two places to 22nd, while Cardiff sit in 8th place.
Yesterday’s game also saw the return of Paul Gallagher for Preston, who has been sat on the sidelines in recent weeks due to injury. In addition, there was also a start for Jordan Hugill, who has been making a good impression on the Lilywhites faithful so far this season.
With the result taking them two places higher, what did PNE fans think of the result? Were they happy to claim a point at home or angry that their side didn’t claim all three points?
Some fans still remain adamant that Simon Grayson should go, with the club still in the relegation zone and with still just one win so far this season:
Can't believe Grayson is still in a job. 1 win in 11 games is a disgrace. Come on Hemmings get shut before its too late #pnefc

If we can't score then what hope have we got? Can Grayson turn it a round? For me at the moment it's a no. #pnefc

However, this outlook wasn’t taken by all fans. Some were happy with a point against Cardiff. They did agree though that the only issue yesterday was the lack of goals and the lack of goals from strikers that has been going on over the past few weeks:
I thought @pnefc played ok today against a team in top half of table – we NEED to score!!! #backofthenet

And finally, here are a few general comments about the performance and players from wanting Joe Garner back, to Clarke having to go off through injury.
I think garner will flourish now with the service from reach and Gallagher. It make that sending off even harder to take. #pnefc
