West Brom target Rovers midfielder

West Brom have Blackburn Rovers midfielder Jason Lowe in mind as a target in the January transfer window, according to a report.

West Brom have had a bad start to the season and are currently lie in 17th place, with eight points from eight games.  They could therefore use the January transfer window to strengthen their squad.

Jason Lowe is highly-rated at Blackburn, where he has spent all of his career.  The midfielder, 24, can also play in defensive midfield and has been used as a right-back, making him very versatile.

Although currently injured and so not in the Blackburn Rovers team, Lowe has made 137 appearances for the club, scoring one goal in a 1-0 win over Middlesbrough.

Lowe has also played 11 times for the England U21 team, after playing for the U20 team.

Rovers will not want to lose Lowe and it is believed they have valued the player at £5 million.  However Blackburn are a team who are currently under transfer embargo.

With rumors of only around £4-5 million being needed to lift the embargo from the club, a bid in this region could be very tempting to the Lancashire club.
