Millwall: manager gives injury update

Millwall boss Neil Harris has given an update on injuries ahead of Millwall’s game against Peterborough on Saturday.

Lions striker Lee Gregory will undergo a late fitness test after suffering a rib injury in the 2-2 draw with Wigan on Tuesday, Neil Harris has confirmed.

“We’ll have to see how Lee Gregory is as we approach kick-off tomorrow,” he said.

“He got a whack in the ribs against Wigan but still didn’t want to come off the pitch.

“We’ll see how he goes.”

With Gregory being a doubt, Harris may have to draft in Welsh striker Steve Morison, who impressed in Millwall’s 3-0 win over Rochdale last Saturday.

“Steve will certainly come back into our thinking,” Harris added.

“We’re learning that it’s hard for players, especially attacking players, to go time and time again.

“It’s a big ask for them to play three games in a week or four games in ten games. Especially at the work rate we put in.”
