With the emergency loan window open, clubs can now make temporary purchases to give their squads that needed boost before the January transfer window. Whilst some don’t favour this market, there are plenty of managers that do. We focus on five clubs that should be looking to utilise the loan route.
Bolton Wanderers
It is no secret that Bolton Wanderers manager Neil Lennon is desperately looking for a striker to sign on loan. Although Gary Madine finally got backs amongst the goals last time out, he and the rest of the team still need more support. Lennon has admitted it is proving a challenge to simply sign a striker on loan. You’d imagine that there are plenty of Premier League clubs certainly that will have players they can shift out for a little while. However with Bolton struggling for results, Lennon needs the right type of player. Clearly it is a striker that they need and one is expected at the Macron sooner rather than later. They have been linked with several names but there is still nothing too concrete occurring at present. Under Owen Coyle then utilised this market particularly well and Lennon will be hoping for similar joys.
