PREVIEW: Huddersfield v Nottingham Forest

Huddersfield host Nottingham Forest on Thursday, with both sides sitting comfortably in mid-table at this early stage in the season. Just two points separate the two sides that have both suffered with inconsistency halting a push up the table.

Forest, last time out, should have salvaged a point against high-flying Middlesbrough but Henri Lansbury crucially missed a penalty with 12 minutes to go. However, Huddersfield saw off a struggling Bolton in style running out easy 4-1 winners.

Forest have looked the part this season, sealing away wins at Birmingham City and QPR and so may just edge it as favourites. This has all the components for a tight match and midfielder Emyr Huws scored twice last time out for the Terriers and his good form could see him net again.

Last season, Forest lost both home and away to Huddersfield but I expect them to make amends this time around as they are yet to lose away from home since the opening day of the season.

First Scorer:

Chris O’Grady is yet to get off the mark for his hometown club but the experienced striker but has impressed since joining on loan from Brighton. His presence and ability to finish may be too much for a Huddersfield side that have only won once at home this season.

Prediction:

Huddersfield 1 Nottingham Forest 2
