Zamora, Zamora can’t wait to start

Zamora can’t wait to start

Brighton striker Bobby Zamora can’t wait for his first start since rejoining the club, according to a report.

One of the Brighton coaches, Nathan Jones, said: “We’ve got a competitive squad.  Bobby has a fantastic pedigree. Yes, he’s champing at the bit to start. He just needs more training sessions and game time.”

So far Zamora has come on as a substitute twice in the League for Brighton, playing only 24 minutes altogether.  This will no doubt add to Zamora’s eagerness to start the next game against Rotherham tonight.

Zamora signed for Brighton on 3 August, returning to the club he played for from 2000-2003.  During this time Zamora scored 83 goals in 136 appearances, a very impressive record.  Shortly after signing this summer, Zamora claimed that he turned down an offer from a club competing in the Champions League.

At 34, Zamora is one of the most experienced players in the Brighton squad and will no doubt contribute to the team off the pitch as well as on it this season.
