Lennon open to Bolton Wanderers return for Kevin Nolan

Bolton Wanderers manager Neil Lennon is open to the possibility of Kevin Nolan returning to the club in the future, but admits that there has been no contact between the two parties yet, according to the Bolton news.

The 33-year-old is currently without a club following his release from West Ham. During his time at his last club, Nolan made 157 appearances, scoring 31 and assisting 19.

Bolton Wanderers is the club where Nolan has made the most of his professional appearances. In just under 10 years at the club, before he left in 2009 to join Newcastle United, the midfielder feature 286 times, scoring a total of 44 goals and helping out with eight assists.

As quoted by the Bolton News, Lennon spoke about the possibility of Nolan returning to Bolton by saying “if he was to come in it would probably have to suit both parties.

“I don’t know about affordability but I think that would be the main stumbling block more than anything.

“But there has been no contact – not yet.”

Nolan is currently training with League Two side Leyton Orient in an attempt to keep his fitness levels high whilst he is without a club. Leyton Orient boss Ian Hendon is good friends with Nolan after his time as West Ham’s first-team coach.
