Ex-Leeds boss set to take over at Doncaster

According to a report by The Sun last night, ex-Leeds United boss Neil Redfearn is set to return to management with League 1 Doncaster.

Previous Doncaster manager Paul Dickov was sacked yesterday after a poor start to the season, with 6 points from 6 games leaving the club in 17th position.  Doncaster lost 1-0 to Gilligham on Saturday.

Redfearn was immediately installed as the bookies’ favorite to replace DIckov and the early speculation now seems to have been spot on with Redfearn set to take over at Doncaster.

Despite Doncaster’s poor start to the season, the team knocked Redfearn’s previous employers, Leeds United, out of the League Cup in the first round.

Despite this, the board at Doncaster have made it clear that they expect the team to challenge for a play-off place and Redfearn will be expected to achieve this goal.

Redfearn had a sixth-month spell as manager of Leeds in the Championship last season but left the club in July after first being demoted back to Academy Director.
