Chelsea youngster Alex Davey signs loan extension at Peterborough

Peterborough United have announced they’ve extended the loan signing of 20-year-old Chelsea defender Alex Davey.

The youngster has made seven appearances in all competitions for the Posh this campaign and his impressive form has earned him an extension on his loan deal.

Davey is under contract at Stamford Bridge until the end of the 2016 season and is capped for Scotland U19’s. He previously had a loan spell at Scunthorpe United where he made 13 appearances.

He initially signed for Peterborough United on a one-month loan deal but impressed manager Dave Robertson who was very keen to keep him at London Road.

Posh fans have reacted very positively to the extension on deadline day (see below).
