Wolves’ £4m bid for Joe Mason from Cardiff has been rejected, despite Cardiff signing a new forward yesterday, according to Sky Sports.
Cardiff signed Idriss Saadi from Clermont Foot yesterday, but still would like to hold onto Mason, who scored against Forest at the weekend.
More surprisingly, Mason has spent plenty of time on loan to Bolton, and yet Cardiff have rejected a decent bid for him.
His scoring record is okay, around one in four, but Cardiff will be banking on that improving as he develops.
Wolves themselves are desperate to hold onto their striker, Benik Afobe, who has attracted a lot of interest, and Wolves fans will be hoping that Mason is not a replacement.
