MATCH PREVIEW: Possible Fulham Line Up v Sheffield United

With a sluggish start to the season and calls from many of the fans for the head of Kit Symons only four games into the new season, it’s possible that the Fulham manager will opt for an only slightly altered line-up tonight against tough League One opposition in Sheffield United.

Symons will also be mindful of the last time this fixture took place, and the repercussions that the loss ultimately had for then-boss Rene Meulensteen.

With that in mind I can’t foresee too radical an overhaul tonight, although I would suggest that some of the new signings might get blooded.

I’d also like to see Fulham’s American protégé Emerson Hyndman in the line-up, although given his current contract situation and the fact that Symons doesn’t seem to rate him; I would suggest it is improbable.

The big gambles that I think Symons may go for are the resting of Ross McCormack, whose form seems to have been affected by his taking on of the captain’s armband, and Jamie O’Hara, who has been brilliant so far, but has been known to be injury-prone in the past, with starts for Saturday’s goal scorer Cauley Woodrow and the Finnish enigma Sakari Mattila.

I also think Pringle may get another chance considering Kaca’s inability to grasp his moment on Saturday.

So without further ado, here’s my predicted line-up for Fulham tonight:
