Rovers bring in Swans winger

Blackburn Rovers have completed the signing of Modou Barrow on a loan deal.

The winger has signed on an emergency loan initially until November 10 subject to clearance, as Swansea look to get the player some experience.

He spent the end of the season on loan to Nottingham Forest, where he made just four appearances, and has played just 11 times for Swansea, so at the age of 22 he will be looking to get some game time.

Barrow, interestingly, is the only Gambian to ever play a game in the Premier League, though he grew up and played in Sweden before moving to the Welsh side.

Barrow is a nimble forward who usually plays out wide, but can also play as an out and out striker. His record as a youngster was at times extremely impressive, but he has only scored one goal in this country – against Tranmere Rovers in the cup.
