Morison Targets Millwall Promotion

Millwall’s new signing Steve Morison wants to achieve promotion at the first time of asking for The Lions.

After recently moving back for his fourth spell at Millwall, Morison has said he wants to “get the club back to where it should be”. But, he is also aware that League One will not be an easy ride for Millwall.

He said: “I’m not coming here under any illusions that this is going to be an easy ride. I’m playing for my future, the club needs to get back to where it should be and hopefully we’ve got everything in place to get us there.”

Having recently played for the club, he knows exactly what its about, and what playing for Millwall means. Back in the 2009/10 season, when Millwall gained promotion the Championship, Morison scored 20 goals and was a massive factor in the clubs promotion. Boss Neil Harris feels that being back at the club is motivation for him to move towards a similar target again.

Neil Harris added: “This is where he has played his best football and this is where he finds the fire in his belly to perform. He is desperate to start scoring goals for Millwall again.”
