Wolves complete deal for Liverpool youngster

Wolves have today announced the signing of Liverpool prospect Sheyi Ojo on a season-long loan after the 18 year-old penned a new long-term contract with the Reds earlier today.

The highly-rated youngster arrives at Molinuex following a loan spell at Wigan Athletic last season making 11 appearances for the Latics towards the end of the season.

Ojo is yet to make his first team debut for Liverpool but is hoping this loan to Wolves will set him up for a long and successful career at Anfield.

Speaking to the Express, the England U18 international spoke about his move:

“It’s a great feeling. I’m looking forward to the upcoming season. Hopefully we can have a good year and push for promotion.

“It’s a really good club. It’s got great facilities. All of the players are nice, they have welcomed me to the club and the staff are brilliant as well.”

“Everything’s going well, I’m just looking forward to starting the season at the weekend.”

The winger made his England debut in 2011 for the U16 squad when he was aged just 14 and has since gone on to make a combined 22 appearances for the U16’s, U17’s and U18’s.
