Parkinson: “We are getting there.”

Bantams manager Phil Parkinson has revealed to the club’s website that he’s content with the progress being made at Valley Parade as the new League One season bears down on his team. With seven signings under his belt, the latest being the capture of winger Paul Anderson on a free after he was released by Ipswich, Parkinson is quoted as saying,

“We are slowly getting there. For a lot of the managers I have spoken to recently, they have all said that they have found it difficult to get deals done. For various reasons, it has been harder than ever really this summer. Our squad is taking shape but we are not there yet.” Phil Parkinson: club website, August 4, 2015
Whilst stressing that he believes that the quality of his ‘first eleven’ is good, and that he is happy with the bench, Parkinson also feels that there is more work needed to bring added depth to the squad and that the club remain on the lookout for new blood.
