Leeds announce signing of Brentford winger Stuart Dallas

Leeds United have announced the signing of Stuart Dallas from Brentford on a three-year deal, for a fee in excess of £1.25 million.

The Whites agreed a deal for Dallas on Friday after Leeds met Brentford’s valuation of the player. The deal will include the option of a fourth year, and it may suggest an end to Leeds’ hunt for a left winger throughout this summer.

The 24-year-old was a key part of the Brentford side that reached the Play-Offs last season, featuring 38 times, scoring 6 and helping out with 2 assists.

Dallas travelled to Leeds yesterday morning to complete his medical with the club and he becomes Uwe Rosler’s 7th signing of the summer.

The Head Coach spoke about the arrival of a new player following Saturday’s 2-0 win over Everton, when asked about Dallas he said “with due respect, the player is under contract with Brentford and I would only like to speak about players who are under contract at Leeds United.

“It’s fair to say that we are hopeful that on Monday we will bring in a new player.”

Despite 7 new faces arriving this summer, the Yorkshire Evening Post understands that another player could arrive at Leeds soon, this won’t be Will Buckley however, who was linked with a move to West Yorkshire last week.
