Nottingham Forest manager has a plan for success

Nottingham Forest manager Dougie Freedman has said he has a plan for success at Nottingham Forest, just like he did at Crystal Palace, according to the Nottingham Post.

Nottingham Forest today host Aston Villa at the City Ground, and Freedman has said how he has “devised a plan” just like he did when he was in control at Selhurat Park.

Freedman said: “I have a plan, just as I did at Crystal Palace. We are going to get young players such as the likes of Tyler Walker and Oliver Burke in the team, while mixing that up with senior pros who want to be here.”

Freedman is looking to add to his team as part of his plan, after already capturing four signatures in the summer; Matt Mills, Jamie Ward, Daniel Pinillos and Leicester goalkeeper Ben Hamer who has arrived on a season-long loan deal. There are strong rumours that a striker could be on his way in on loan terms, as well as the speculated capture of a midfielder which could happen soon.

The Scotsman then spoke about setting a structured wage bill as part of his plan. placing everyone on the same path, as he has recently cut down on the wage bill, having mutually agreed to terminate contracts with two players; Radi Majewski and Djamel Abdoun.

“We can get a wage structure in place where everyone is on the same path; on the same level. Then we can go to work. It takes a strong chairman to give you time to build that kind of team. That is why I signed a new contract in the summer.”
