League One side Southend are set to announce the signing of former Leeds, Reading and Ipswich striker Noel Hunt, according to reports.
The 32-year-old is a free agent following his release from Ipswich this summer. During his time at Ipswich, Hunt made 12 appearances as Ipswich lost in the Play-Off Semi Final, scoring 3 and assisting 1. Previous to that, his time at Leeds is one that he will want to forget, making 22 appearances and failing to score or assist.

His time at Reading however, is one which was the most successful out of the three, 39 goals and 27 assists in 162 appearances helped Reading secure Premier League status back in 2012.
The forward has been in discussions with Southend during recent weeks, and has even attended some of Southend’s pre-season matches to see his new team-mates in action.
