Sheffield Wednesday have agreed a fee with fellow Championship rivals Charlton for left-back Rhoys Wiggins.
Wiggins is set to become Wednesday’s ninth signing of the summer, after a fee of around £750,000 was agreed between the two clubs. The deal could be confirmed before the clash against Scunthorpe United later this week.

The information was revealed by The Sheffield Star sports journalist Dom Howson.
On the contrary to many reports, the 27-year-old has not yet completed a medical at Hillsborough.
Injuries have been a problem for Wiggins recently, so much that it has forced him to 20 appearances in 2 of the last 3 seasons. The emergence of Morgan Fox also meant that Wiggins’ game time was even further restricted.
Wednesday are short of cover in the left-back spot, with Claude Dielna facing a minimum of three weeks on the sidelines due to a toe injury he picked up in the pre-season friendly against York City earlier this month.
