Charlton have announced on their official website that they have completed the transfer of Cristian Ceballas from Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur on a three-year deal.
Ceballos becomes the Addicks fifth signing this summer as Head Coach Guy Luzon prepares for another season in the Championship.
A diminutive forward standing at 5’9″, the 22 year-old started his career with Spanish giants Barcelona as a 12 year-old and spent seven years with the Catalan club before being snapped up by Tottenham.
After a loan to Portuguese Primeira Liga side Arouca to gain first team experience, Ceballos returned to White Hart Lane and was assigned a squad number for the 2014-15 season – however he failed to make a first team appearance for Spurs.
Guy Luzon was keen to praise the youngster upon his arrival to The Valley, saying:
“Cristian is a very technical player, who has a lot of quality and skill and I hope that he will be able to show that the to Charlton fans this coming season.
