Bristol City in the chase for prolific French striker

The Bristol Post have today reported that Bristol City have been linked with a move for Ivorian striker Jonathan Kodjia after the 25 year-old played a crucial role Angers promotion winning season last term.

A towering forward standing at 6’3″, Kodjia netted 15 goals during the 2014-15 season for now-Ligue 1 side Angers with the club earning automatic promotion.

The club, which is based south of Paris, signed Kodjia in the summer of 2014 from fellow French outfit Reims following a stint of loans spells.

After making his senior debut at 19 years-old the French-born forward enjoyed loan spells at Cherbourg, Amiens and Caen.

His most prolific stint (before the 2014-15 campaign) came in his loan season with Amiens in the Championnat National where he managed to net nine goals in 32 games.
