Four Championship clubs are now in the race to sign South Korean international and free agent Kim Bo Kyung.
The 25-year-old is currently without a club after opting against extending his short-term stay with Wigan Athletic. Kyung joined the Latics in the January transfer window as they looked to secure their Championship status. as they were unsuccessful in doing this, the player decided to leave.
Bo-kyung made 18 appearances in his time at the DW Stadium, scoring on 2 occasions. Previous to that, he spent 3 years at Welsh outfit Cardiff City, where he made 58 appearances. On the national side of things, he has featured 32 times for South Korea since his international debut in 2010.
Now his availability has alerted 4 Championship clubs. Blackburn, Reading, Sheffield Wednesday and Nottingham Forest are all looking into securing his signature in time for the beginning of the season, which starts in 3 weeks.
Wednesday have previously been linked to signing the midfielder and remain favourites to beat the competition and win the race for his services.
