Clayton Donaldson has signed a new three-year deal with Birmingham City.

The Blues’ Player of the Year had been linked with several Championship clubs, with reports of bids being rejected from Leeds and Reading.

He becomes the second player to have extended his stay at St. Andrews this week, with young star Demarai Gray signing a new deal on Tuesday.

Leeds’ interest had seemed to wane, but Reading did not appear to be giving up on signing the powerful forward.

Donaldson bagged 17 league goals last year and is a fan favourite at St. Andrews, which may have swayed his decision to stay.
