Italy international poised for Brum return?

Rumours of a loan deal for Diego Fabbrini to go back to Birmingham have surfaced in the last 24 hours.

Several sources are claiming that the deal is essentially done, and the Italian will rejoin on an initial loan, as Watford look to shrink their squad.

Lloyd Dyer, who also ended the season on loan to the Blues, is expected to leave this summer, but didn’t have the same effect as the playmaker.

Fabbrini was an instant hit at St. Andrews, and his signing coincided with a good run of form that saw Blues move to 10th in the table.

He endeared himself further to the fans when he flew to Italy and paid for his own treatment for his broken nose, just to play in royal blue.

News of this deal – should it happen – will be the second piece of great news for the fans in the last few days, with youngster Demarai Gray signing a new contract two days ago.
