Blackpool close to deal for ex-Cardiff man

Kevin McNaughton is close to joining Blackpool according to Wales Online.

The ex-Cardiff man – who was a firm fan favourite during his time with the Bluebirds – has been training with the Seasiders since his release from City at the end of last season and he even featured in the club’s friendly win over Blyth Spartans.

It looks likely that he will soon agree a deal to make a permanent move to Bloomfield Road and if he does make the move, he will become Blackpool’s ninth signing of the summer so far.

The 32-year old – who plays as a right-back – has bags of experience and could help the Seasiders massively, as they do battle in League 1 next season.

A deal could be agreed later on this week and he would of course join Blackpool for absolutely nothing, as he is currently a free agent.

He spent last season on loan at Bolton, although he didn’t play as much as he would have liked due to an injury that ended his campaign.
