Owls striker May interests Dundee United

Scottish Premiership side Dundee United are reportedly interested in Sheffield Wednesday striker Stevie May.

The 22-year-old, bought from St Johnstone last summer, has failed to make a big splash with the Owls and according to reports in The Scottish Sun he could be heading back across the border on a season-long loan. United are looking for a new frontman after Nadir Ciftci moved to champions Celtic last week.

May managed just seven goals in 39 Championship appearances last season and has yet to live up to expectation since his move to Hillsborough.
