Mason Holgate is the subject of much Premier League interest, with Aston Villa seriously looking at the youngster, and Liverpool and Arsenal monitoring him.
The young defender is quite versatile, being able to play both right back and centre half, and at just 18 has impressed the Barnsley fans, but his performances have not gone unnoticed.
Villa have a reputation for buying young talent from the lower leagues, with Ashley Westwood, Matt Lowton and Joe Bennett being examples, and Holgate is thought to be the next in line.
Liverpool and Arsenal are also said to be interested, but it’s Villa who are set to make a £1m bid for the defender.
