Ex-#mufc keeper crosses the Midlands divide

Tomasz Kuszczak has signed for Birmingham City on a two-year-deal, the club has today confirmed.

Kuszczak had been at Wolves but had seen opportunities limited and is likely to be the first choice ‘keeper at St. Andrews.

The Polish stopper becomes Gary Rowett’s fourth summer signing, and the second goalkeeper, as he looks to rebuild the squad.

The reaction to the signing from Blues fans has been mostly positive, given the experience of the keeper, though fans are still waiting for some exciting signings. Kuszczak is an international footballer and could prove to be a very shrewd signing, if not the sort that will excite.
