Following on from Adam Barrett’s decision to sign for another season utility midfielder, Will Atkinson, has verbally agreed to extending his contract for 2 years. Reserve keeper, Paul Smith, has also been offered a player/coach role for next season.
Blues will now hope that their influential honeymooning playmaker, Michael Timlin, follows Atkinson in extending his contract. The vultures loom with both Millwall and now Leyton Orient expressing strong interest in signing him. Hopefully the potential lure of more money and the chance to play for his local side won’t sway the fans favourite.
