According to BBC Sport, Derby are preparing to break their transfer record, which currently stands at £3.5 million, for Hull City’s Tom Ince following a successful loan spell with the Rams.
Ince spent the second half of last season on loan at Derby and was instrumental in getting them in and around the play-offs as he scored 11 goals in 18 appearances.
This form has led to many people suggesting Derby are ready to splash out around £5 million to bring the 23 year-old to the Pride Park Stadium on a permanent basis.
After starting his career with Liverpool, it was at Blackpool where Ince really made a name for himself – scoring 31 goals in 100 league games for the Tangerines.
Hull City signed the former England U21 international on a free transfer upon the expiration of his contract at Bloomfield Road but never found his feet with the Tigers, making just seven league appearances before being sent out on loan.
