Bury seal deal for Tom Pope

Bury have completed the signing of Tom Pope from Port Vale.

The striker was available on a free due to the fact his contract at Vale Park runs out at the end of this month. He decided not to sign a new deal at the club and instead he has joined newly-promoted Bury.

Pope has put pen-to-paper on a three year deal and the Shakers will be hoping that he can provide the club with some goals next season.

He played in close to 200 games for the Valiants and managed to bag himself 69 goals along the way. But, after just over four seasons with the club, he has decided to take on a fresh challenge at Bury.

The 29-year old was also a target for Doncaster.
