Liverpool resorting to the Championship?

There has been a lot of speculation of Brendan Rodgers’ side, Liverpool, hoping to bring Bolton keeper, Adam Bogdan, to Anfield. The Hungarians contract runs out in the Summer for the Trotters, and Rodgers is hoping to get him cheaply. However, Wanderers boss, Lennon, is hoping to get the keeper to sign a new contract, and is willing to make him one of the clubs’ highest earners.

If Bogdan were to go to Anfield, Neil Lennon would be left with a dilemma. He would have no senior goalkeeper for pre season, However, Ben Amos (Manchester United) could go to the Macron for free if Lennon decided he wanted the youngster in between the sticks.

Bogdan would be Rodgers’ second choice as he prefers to have Belgium international, Simon Mignolet, in goal. Bolton’s No. 1 impressed the Liverpool boss after the two teams clashed in the F.A Cup 4th round.

Speaking in an interview, Bogdan addressed the rumours, saying it is ‘mere speculation’. However, he later admitted he is seeking a top-flight club if the right opportunity comes along.

Liverpool have already snapped up Manchester City midfielder, James Milner, on a free transfer. Bolton Wanderers have said that the Reds have not made an offer for the keeper, nor have they enquired about him.
