New Portsmouth signing Kal Naismith has spoken of his hunger to succeed at his new club.
Naismith was bought for an undisclosed fee yesterday and has reportedly put pen to paper on a three-year deal. He became Paul Cook’s second signing of the close season and has previously featured for Rangers and Accrington Stanley.
The 23-year-old can play in numerous attacking positions and scored fourteen goals in 73 appearances at the Crown Ground. Today the young Scot told the Portsmouth News:
“I’m delighted a club like Portsmouth were interested, with its size and history. It’s a famous badge and I’m really happy a club like that wanted me. I like to attack but the one thing I promise fans is I’ll give them 100-per-cent effort.”
Naismith also has the confidence of former Blues favourite Scott Allan that he can be a success for the League Two side. Allan said on Twitter:
Delighted for my mate @KalNaismith11 signing for Portsmouth great club and great place to play your football 👍⚽️

Portsmouth have also announced that they will face non-league Woking Town in a pre-season friendly on July 24th.
