Pringle and Morgan leave Rotherham

And then there were four.

With the news that Ben Pringle and Craig Morgan will be pursuing a contract from elsewhere, just four players remain from the side that gained Rotherham United promotion just under a year ago (Adam Collin, Richie Smallwood, Kari Arnason and Lee Frecklington).

Both are big losses to a Rotherham team that narrowly escaped promotion, with a combined 229 appearances for the club – with 81 coming this season.

Pringle was arguably the club’s best player, known for his wand of a left foot and holding the ability to cross the ball from anywhere inside the opposition half, whereas Morgan is more known for holding the shirt of an opposing striker than any individual skill. However, he was a rock-solid presence at the back for The Millers, and his loss will undoubtedly be a huge blow to the Championship side.

The good news is that they’ve got a lot of time to replace them. Unfortunately, it won’t be an easy task.
