Another Youngster Heads For St. Andrews Exit

Amari’i Bell will not see his stay at Blues extended and he will leave next month when his contract ends.

Bell played once for Blues under Lee Clark but has been unable to break into Rowett’s plans, spending the year on loan to Swindon and Gillingham.

The 21-year-old full back should not struggle to find another club after playing lower level football in the last few years but it is unlikely that he will get a chance at a Championship for at least a few years.

Bell is the ninth player to be released this summer as Rowett looks to thin the squad, and with Koby Arthur looking to be leaving as well, this could be an opportunity to rebuild with some fresh, young players.
