Blues To Move For Spurs Youngster

Blues are reportedly interested in signing Dele Alli on loan, after he impressed in League One for MK Dons last year.

The midfielder is very highly rated by the Spurs staff but with the emergence of Ryan Mason, Nabil Bentaleb and Alex Pritchard’s fantastic loan spell, first team opportunities may be limited.

Alli is an athletic midfielder who is very comfortable on the ball and has a terrific scoring record from midfield, which would make him an excellent replacement for Robert Tesche, who looks set to stay at Nottingham Forest. That said, Alli has also excelled playing in the hole behind the forward, so could easily slot in for Fabbrini.

Interest in the midfielder is expected to be high, with Fulham, Brentford and Charlton all interested in giving Alli a chance in the Championship, but given Pocchettino’s comments about him being ready for the Premier League, Alli may get a chance at the top level to prove himself this season.

Hopefully, Blues can get Alli on loan, as he seems to be a player who fits in with the style that Rowett seemed to be trying to implement near the back end of last season; a patient passing game.
