Demarai Gray has been linked with a sensational switch to Manchester United this summer.

The Birmingham-born winger has impressed this season and Blues have already turned down substantial offers from Bournemouth.

Reports linking Gray to United seem strange – whilst he has impressed in the Championship, there are plenty of doubts over his ability to play at a top Premier League side.

But if the reports are true, Van Gaal has obviously seen something in the wideman and is desperate to bring top English talent to the club, with Saido Berahino also linked.

If, and it’s a big if, United do come calling, then they may have to pay a big sum, and Rowett will probably look to get upwards of £8-9m if he can, which I think would be a fair price.

Blues are desperate to keep hold of Gray, but with his contract running short and his seeming unwillingness to accept a new deal, it would be very difficult to turn Manchester United away.

United are not the first and will not be the last club to be linked with Gray this summer, but hopefully he will sign a new deal at Blues.
