Prolific Spanish striker on Bolton’s radar

Bolton are reportedly interested in a deal for Numancia striker Sergi Enrich, with the former Spanish U19 international showing impressive form this season.

The 25 year-old has shone in the Segunda Division this term, scoring 15 goals in 32 appearances for his side. This tally puts him joint-fourth in the scoring charts in Spain’s second highest level (excluding penalties).

Starting his career at Mallorca, Enrich made a name for himself in their B team, netting 30 times in three years with the Spanish outfit.

This season, Enrich played a part in the one of the most action packed games ever – a 6-6 draw in the league with Lugo which saw ten goals scored in 41 minutes.

Enrich bagged a brace in that game, helping Numancia recover a point from 3-6 down with just six minutes to play, in a game that remarkably was only 1-1 at half-time.

Bolton will be looking to strengthen their forward line, with Heskey and Gudjohnsen not getting any younger, the return of Adam Le Fondre to Cardiff following the expiration of his loan, and the likely exit of Jermaine Beckford.
