Another true goalscorer who would bring pace, cleverness and experience to couple with his clinical finishing. He has always been a player who has scored goals, at Bristol City he was crucial scoring 46 in 132, he scored 33 in 61 for Crewe before them and he has spent the majority of his recent career in the top two divisions.
He is still only 28, and while he has lost his goalscoring touch of late he could still make a huge impact for a side who need his tools on their maiden voyage into League 1.
He would also show the intent that Burton have to not only stay up in League one, but to progress.
Having a high profile manager should help them attract high profile player, and if there is one thing Hasselbaink knows about it is scoring goals and that should help Maynard to do the same.
