Bolton left feeling blue

In the first few minutes of the clash between Bolton vs Birmingham, there wasn’t much in it. It was end to end football with few dangerous attacks, that was until the 41st minute. Robert Tesche right footed shot from a difficult angle on the left to the bottom left corner following a corner went in, giving the Blues the lead.

In the second half, Bolton got control of the game and had a lot of possession. Eidur Gudjohnsen scored for the Trotters but it was ruled offside. Nearing the end of the game, Bolton committed a lot of fouls. The Trotters were given four yellow cards, but were not given a red. The Bolton players were clearly getting frustrated and wanted to please their home crowd on the last game of the season. Unfortunately for them, the Blues came away from the Macron victorious, they finished 10th in the Championship. Meanwhile, Bolton finished 18th.
