Cardiff on the brink of unwanted club record

Failure to win this weekend for Russell Slade’s men will leave the squad with an undesirable record on their CV’s; being part of the team that set that the lowest home points haul in a Championship season for Cardiff.

Currently sitting on 32 points from 22 games, winning just nine of those 22, a win is a must for The Bluebirds as the current record stands at 34 points, which was set in 2005.

Thankfully for Cardiff, the visitors on Saturday are already-relegated Blackpool, who have the worst away record in the league; winning none, and drawing just seven games out of 22 matches.

Having only recorded two wins in their last ten home games, and scored just six in the process, Slade’s side will have to find their shooting boots if they are to secure the three points and avoid attaining the club record.
