Albentosa settling into life at Derby

Derby County defender Raúl Albentosa says he is enjoying life in England, after his January move from La Liga to the Championship.

Albentosa signed from Spanish side SD Eibar to help Steve McClaren’s Derby in their push for promotion. This was the defender’s first taste of football outside of his native Spain. Speaking to dcfc.co.uk he said “I have been accepted really well into the family. When I say that, I mean the Derby County family. When you join a new club, no matter what you might be playing, you want to make a good impression early on and I have had to wait for my chance, but after these last four games, I am feeling better. My wife and I are very happy with the city of Derby as a whole. Everybody has been so helpful and I have settled in really quickly.”

Albentosa has made 4 league appearances for Derby so far but he is yet to experience a league win for the Rams.
