‘Delighted to be back’ – Williams

Jonny Williams has expressed his delight at returning to Ipswich Town for a third loan spell.

Mick McCarthy secured the signing of Williams hours before the loan window shut on Thursday. The Welsh midfielder made 5 appearances for The Tractor Boys before his temporary move was cut short after he picked up an injury during a home game against Watford, back in November.

Now back at Portman Road, the midfielder nicknamed ‘Joniesta’ spoke positively about the move to the official Ipswich website. “The last five months have been very tough but the support I’ve had from fans during that period has been special. I’m delighted to be back at Ipswich and I can’t wait to get back out on the pitch again.”

Williams will be hoping he can help Ipswich in their promotion push. They currently occupy the final play-off place in the Championship table.
