Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Liam Palmer has been ruled out for the remainder of the season.
Palmer, 23, was stretched off after sustaining a serious-looking ankle injury in last Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Fulham. Scans have revealed the injury has shown significant damage.
On the club’s official website, boss Stuart Gray said: “Liam saw a specialist in London and it’s good news in that he doesn’t need surgery. But he will probably miss the rest of the season and that’s a blow for the boy.”
