Alex Neil: “I’ll be disappointed”

Alex Neil had nothing but praise for his players after they thumped Millwall 4-1 away at The Den. Gary Hooper, Johnny Howson (2) and Wes Hoolahan all got their names on the score sheet with just under 30 minutes to go.

However, Neil gave a comment about an easily possible push for automatic promotion rather than finishing in a play-off spot: “When the dust settles on this season, we want to be in one of the top two spots.”

He then said, “I wouldn’t say it would be a failure to not reach it but I’ll be disappointed as there is no reason we can’t continue this run.”

Norwich City currently sit 5th in the Championship with 65 points, just 1 point off the top of the table as Bournemouth (1st), Derby (2nd), Watford (3rd) and Middlesbrough (4th) all sit on 66 points.
