Ahead of Watford’s upcoming clash with Wayne Rooney’s Rams, Femenia has been speaking about his impressive run of form.

Speaking to the club’s official website, the former La Liga defender said he is enjoying the ‘best time’ of his career, praising his teammates for the important role they are playing in helping him put in strong performances.

Here’s what he had to say:

“Ever since I signed for Watford this is the best time in my career. I am really happy to be here. I try to train as best as I can on a daily basis and do the best I can.

“My form is not only down to me: it’s down to the team as we are playing very good football.

“My family is very important to me and also helped me a lot. It’s great to have my two daughters over here with me now. Having a settled family situation helps on the pitch because it gives you the serenity in your mind to play well on the pitch.”

Xisco Munoz’s side will be looking to build on their back to back wins with another victory on Friday night.

Despite sitting in 17th, Derby have been in strong form of late. Rooney has helped turn around their fortunes, with the club now sitting in 17th place.

A win for Watford would see them temporarily overtake Swansea City and jump into 3rd place.
