Brentford are mixing it with the big boys
Comparisons have been made all season between this Brentford side and the Bournemouth side of last year who came into the Championship after League 1 promotion and surprised most to finish 10th. Although there is still a long way to go this season Brentford are proving that they could go even further than Eddie Howe’s side last season. Bournemouth never made it into the top six all season. In comparison a third win in a row this weekend against Millwall has pushed the Bees up to 6th in the Championship. This perhaps on paper should have been the most routine of the three victories after seeing off both Forest and Derby in their last two contests. Nevertheless, going to the Den is never easy and Brentford showed real quality to win after seeing a two goal lead pegged back. Above Blackburn, Norwich, Forest and Cardiff is a great place to be for Brentford. The question after the international break will be can they maintain it?
